Amber Overholser, PhD completed her doctorate in Public Affairs at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. While there she conducted research related to community organizations and the ways in which they constructed their narratives in order to sway public opinion. After graduation and a year at Miami, Ohio, she arrived at Southern Arkansas University where she is now the lead faculty member and Director for the Master of Public Administration.
