Copie Moore was reared in Linden, Texas. Upon completion of high school at Linden-Kildare C.I.S.D, she enrolled at Stephen F. Austin State University, where she graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Master of Science in General Agriculture. Following her time at Stephen F. Austin State University, Copie was a County Extension Agent for 4-H and Youth Development in Harrison County, Texas for three years. This is where her love for agricultural education was deepened and strengthened, allowing her to pursue her dream of obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy in Agricultural Education from Texas A&M University. In the Fall Semester of 2008, Copie began teaching at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, Arkansas. In December of 2008, Copie graduated with her Doctor of Philosophy in Agricultural Education.
