Vanda McLelland is an Associate Professor of Library Media and Information Specialist, Coordinator of the Library Media and Information Specialist Program, and Coordinator of the Instructional Facilitator/Lead Teacher Program. Mrs. McLelland received a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Education from Southern Arkansas University. She joined the faculty of SAU in 2015 and has taught library media courses as an adjunct teacher at SAU since 2007. She served as Interim Dean for the College of Education and Human Performance in 2022-23. Before joining the SAU faculty, she worked in public school education in the areas of special education, gifted and talented education, elementary education, library media science, district test coordinator, and public relations coordinator. Ms. McLelland’s professional affiliations include the American Association of School Librarians, the American Library Association, and the Arkansas Association of Instructional Media. She also serves as President of the Alpha Beta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma.
