As the associate vice president for strategic initiatives, Sheryl provides operational oversight and leadership for the Office of the President in fulfilling the President’s vision and goals for the institution. She also serves as the director of government relations for the SAU System. Some of the projects Sheryl has overseen include the concept and development of SAU Beyond the Campus, the development of the cyber security training classroom, the golf driving range, and the trap shooting facility. Sheryl is working with a team of faculty and staff to develop The SAU Outdoor Campus, a project partnership with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission to develop the near 700-acre Laney Farm into a sustainable research, educational, and recreational habitat. Sheryl also works closely with other administrative units to develop institutional risk management strategies and policies.
