Bryan Christenson began his law enforcement career in 2011 as a dispatcher with the Arkansas State Police. In 2012, he graduated from the Arkansas State Police Academy and served in the Highway Patrol Division for 7.5 years. He advanced to the rank of Corporal and served as an Instructor, Field Training Officer, Drill Instructor for the training academy, and member of the State Police Honor Guard.
In 2019, Chief Christenson joined the University Police Department. He currently serves as Chief of Police.
He is a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy, Class 293. In 2022, he was awarded the Trilogy Award from the FBI’s Law Enforcement Executive Development Association in recognition of completing its Supervisory, Command, and Executive Leadership Institutes.
Chief Christenson additionally serves as an Adjunct Professor at Southern Arkansas University, teaching Criminal Justice courses, including Intro to Criminal Justice and Homeland Security, as well as Student Success courses, including Freshman Seminar and Career/Life Planning.
