Sarah Amonett is an Instructor of Biology and a disease ecologist. She earned her B.S. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Stephen F. Austin State University (2017), where she also worked as a research assistant in a fish ecology lab. She then earned her M.S. in Biology from the University of Mississippi (2020). Her thesis research investigated the transmission and transgenerational effects of an avian bacterial pathogen in songbird hosts. Her interests include ecoimmunology, wildlife disease ecology, and ecophysiology. Ms. Amonett teaches Introduction to Biology.
