No, Mulerider Marching Band rehearses only during its designated class time and rehearses briefly the morning of a performance.
Yes, the summer band camp begins the week before school starts. All students that have registered and auditioned for the band program are contacted during the summer with instructions regarding the marching band show music, their residence hall move-in dates, and other important materials they may need. Food and residence hall lodging during the summer band camp is paid for by the Band program.
You may fill out our audition application on our Prospective Students menu tab. Once the application is submitted, a director will contact you to schedule an audition date.
After a band scholarship has been rewarded, it is sent to Financial Aid and added to the recipient’s SAU student account typically within the first three weeks of school.
Students pay for their band T-shirt, gloves, and their flip folder if they request one. Instrument rental, travel, and all other fees are paid for by the band program.
