Arkansas Academy of Science Annual Meeting '26 at Southern Arkansas University
Southern Arkansas University will host the 109th Annual Meeting of the Arkansas Academy of Science on Friday and Saturday, April 10–11, 2026, in Magnolia, Arkansas.
Meeting events will take place in the Donald W. Reynolds Campus & Community Center and the nearby Science Building on the SAU campus.
The conference will be held jointly with the SAU College of Science & Engineering Research Conference.

Program Overview
Oral presentations will begin on Friday afternoon in the Science Building, with evening events held in the Reynolds Center.
Oral presentations will continue on Saturday morning, followed by a poster session that will include all posters.
Participants may choose to give an oral or poster presentation. Completed registration forms, abstracts, registration fees, and membership dues must be received by March 1, 2026.
Keynote Speakers
Dr. Zachary Porterfield, MD, PhD and Dr. Julia Toman, MD, MPH, FACS will serve as keynote speakers for the 2026 meeting.
Dr. Porterfield is an infectious disease physician scientist, and Dr. Toman is a reconstructive surgeon and global health specialist. Both are affiliated with the University of South Florida and have extensive experience at the intersection of clinical care and research in the United States and South Africa.
