Southern Arkansas University Business Students Complete Internships to Gain Real Life Experience

MAGNOLIA—About twenty students participated in internships over the summer and during the fall semesters from the College of Business at Southern Arkansas University.
The internship program offers a joint opportunity for area business executives and the business faculty to augment the academic experience of students. Approximately one third of the business students complete the internship program annually.
• Accounting students participating and their businesses are as follows: Nana-Hauwa Bawa, Office of Financial Services at SAU; Amanda Le May with Farmers Bank and Trust; Beth Martisek with J. Cristy Construction Company, Inc. in El Dorado; Gina Medford with L. E. Lindsey, CPA in Camden; and John Miller with C. S. Kincaid, III, CPA.
• Students in Finance in internships included: Tyler Cummings with First Bank of South Arkansas in Camden ; Ashlee Dixon with Nancy Brown, CPA in El Dorado; Michaela Krcova with the SAU Office of Financial Services; and Charles Mushi with B & M Transport, Inc. of Annandale, Virginia.
• Management interns were: Laney Fowler with Larry Fowler Trucking Incorporated; Edward Hunter with Aramark; Chance O’Neal with Hamlin Well Service, Inc.; Jacqueline Pinson with Lion Oil Company of El Dorado; Cedrick Powell with Upward Bound at SAU; Kim Smith with Sharpes Dry Goods #23 in Springhill and Sharpes Dry Goods #22 in Nashville; and Meena Subedi with Aramark.
• Working in marketing internship positions were: Lora Callicott with Shoebox; Michelle Keith with SAU Communications Center; Shane McLelland with Fastenal; William Tripp with Southern Aluminum; Krystal Walker with Eiler Realty.
