The Testing Center strives to provide students with a location for testing needs and a comfortable testing environment. The Testing Center also has the responsibility to protect the security and integrity of tests entrusted to it by the testing companies, as well as by our instructors at SAU. You can find a clickable link to our Testing Center Operations Manual at the bottom of this webpage.<\/p>\n<p>Testing Center hours are 8:00 a.m. \u2013 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday during regular semesters (fall and spring). Hours vary during summer sessions and other special holidays. Appointments to test must be made at least 2 (two) working days in advance. Please call the Testing Center office at (870) 235-4145 to make an appointment. Some tests require registration through the test company&#8217;s website. The Testing Center provides test proctoring for both paper-based and computer-based tests. Below are some of the tests we offer and\/or accept. Click on the links to learn more about each test.<\/p>\n<p>Tests we offer:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/web.saumag.edu\/testing\/accuplacer\/\">Accuplacer<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/web.saumag.edu\/testing\/testing-center\/act\/\">ACT<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/web.saumag.edu\/testing\/testing-center\/act-residual\/\">ACT Residual<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/web.saumag.edu\/testing\/testing-center\/clep\/\">CLEP<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/web.saumag.edu\/testing\/hesi\/\">HESI<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/web.saumag.edu\/testing\/testing-center\/pearson-vue\/\">Pearson VUE<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/web.saumag.edu\/testing\/testing-center\/praxis\/\">PRAXIS<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/web.saumag.edu\/testing\/testing-center\/toefl\/\">TOEFL<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Tests we accept:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/web.saumag.edu\/testing\/testing-center\/advanced-placement\/\">Advanced Placement<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Utilizing the Testing Center<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Call the Testing Center at (870) 235-4145 at least 2 (two) working days in advance to make an appointment to secure a testing date and time. The Testing Center administers many different tests, and some are only available on certain dates and times. Some tests may require registration and scheduling on the test company&#8217;s website. Call our office for more information.<\/li>\n<li>Submit the appropriate test fee, if applicable, to the Testing Center Office.<\/li>\n<li>Bring photo identification for entry into the Testing Center, along with any authorized materials and\/or aids allowed for the particular test being taken.<\/li>\n<li>If a student arrives more than 15 minutes LATE from the scheduled start time, he or she will NOT be allowed to take the exam in the Testing Center at the scheduled time. Students arriving up to 15 minutes late for an exam will only be allowed their allotted time. Students who arrive more than 15 minutes late must contact their instructor or testing company to see if rescheduling the test will be allowed. Upon approval from the instructor, the Testing Center will allow the student to reschedule the test.<\/li>\n<li>Please be aware of the Testing Center&#8217;s closing time and allow plenty of time to complete the exam.<\/li>\n<li>Food, drink, cell phones, and Bluetooth or electronic devices are prohibited in the Testing Labs. Lockers are available for personal items.<\/li>\n<li>The Testing Center does not have an official &#8216;No Show Policy, &#8216; but if individuals repeatedly abuse the system, fees could be assessed before scheduling future appointments. Testing companies&#8217; policies for &#8216;no-shows&#8217; may be different from ours. Check with the test company if unsure.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure you are given the correct exam and (if pencil-paper based) place your name or other identifying information on the exam to receive credit for your work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What Services Are Available to Students with Disabilities?<\/h2>\n<p>The Testing Center strongly urges students with physical, psychological, learning, or other disabilities to contact the Office of Disability Support Services at (870) 235-4145 before testing. Some testing companies may require disability supports or requests to be processed through their site before entering our center to test. Students with documented disabilities may be entitled to a range of additional services while enrolled in and attending Southern Arkansas University.<\/p>\n<h2>Test Security and Academic Dishonesty Policy<\/h2>\n<p>The Testing Center strives to provide test security by carefully tracking tests, testing materials, and scrap paper. In addition, the Testing Center supports and adheres to standards for academic honesty outlined in the student code. Incidents of academic dishonesty in the Testing Center are treated seriously. Students found to be cheating will lose Testing Center privileges.
