Mulerider Kids College is a summer enrichment program for children entering into 1st through 6th grades. Our goal is to provide the children in our community with exciting and stimulating learning opportunities to enhance their education without the pressure of grades, homework, or tests. Mulerider Kids College offers several unique classes that are fun, entertaining, and educational! Classes are taught by SAU faculty, staff, and local teachers that are committed to providing students with a great experience!

Southern Arkansas University will host the second annual Mulerider Teen College this summer! This will be a three day camp for students entering into 7th – 9th grades. MTC is designed to give Junior High students fun and educational experiences outside of a regular classroom setting. Students will have the opportunity to choose three classes, participate in leadership activities, and experience hands-on learning! They will gain insight into different subjects that will ultimately help them decide what college majors to pursue.
Mulerider Teen College (MTC) will be July 9th – 11th, 8am – 1:30 p.m. Tuition will be $60 and that includes a t-shirt, bag, and lunch each day.
The deadline for registration is May 1, after which registrations will be accepted with a late fee until May 7.
Southern Arkansas University is hosting a 3 days 2 nights summer camp from July 9 through July 11. High school students from grades 8-12 are welcome to attend this camp.
The primary goal of this summer camp is to grow interest in studying engineering and physics among high school students. Participants will do hands-on projects related to engineering and physics. Engineering projects include building and programming of Lego Mindstorms robots, playing with Arduino based electronics and hardware, designing the path of a robotic arm, the building of model bridges and structures, design and modeling with Solid Works, and material testing using a force tester. Activities will include demonstrations in physics, as well as an astronomy night observation. Lodging and food will be included in the price. All participants will receive an engineering T-shirt. There will be an awards ceremony at the end of the 3-day camp on Wednesday.

Learn about game development and design with hands on activities in programming, design and art in a fun, overnight camp setting. For 10th, 11th, and 12th grades, event activities include: an introduction to basic coding, game tools and mechanics, and character concept art creation,video game tournaments, cosplay, board games, movies and other activities.
