Study Abroad in Kenya: May 2023 Itinerary<\/h3>

Experience the trip of a lifetime! This 12-day adventure in Kenya offered a perfect blend of cultural immersion, wildlife exploration, and unforgettable experiences. Here’s a recap of the journey:<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Day 1: Mbumi Coffee Estates and Mills<\/h5>

Students explored the coffee-making process, from seedling beds to roasting, and even roasted their own batch to take home as a souvenir.<\/p>

Day 2: Nairobi to Masai Mara<\/h5>

The journey began with a scenic drive to Masai Mara, including a stop at the breathtaking Rift Valley viewpoint. Students enjoyed their first game drive in the evening.<\/p>

Day 3: Full-Day Masai Mara Safari<\/h5>

A thrilling day of wildlife spotting, with sightings of lions, elephants, zebras, cheetahs, and more, followed by a picnic lunch in the wild.<\/p>

Day 4: Masai Mara to Lake Naivasha<\/h5>

After a memorable time in Masai Mara, the group headed to Lake Naivasha, enjoying a relaxing afternoon and a boat ride to see hippos and birdlife.<\/p>

Day 5: Hell\u2019s Gate National Park<\/h5>

Cycling or walking through the park allowed students to get up close to zebras, giraffes, and antelopes. Optional hiking at Mount Longonot offered stunning views.<\/p>

Day 6: Lake Naivasha to Amboseli<\/h5>

The group traveled to Amboseli National Park for their first game drive amidst breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro.<\/p>

Day 7: Full-Day Amboseli Safari<\/h5>

Two game drives in Amboseli allowed for incredible elephant encounters and unforgettable sunsets against the backdrop of Kilimanjaro.<\/p>

Day 8: Amboseli to Diani (South Coast)<\/h5>

A flight to Diani Beach introduced the group to the pristine shores of the Kenyan South Coast.<\/p>

Days 9 & 10: Relaxing at Diani Beach<\/h5>

Students explored the South Coast with optional excursions like snorkeling, dolphin watching, and island visits, or simply relaxed at the all-inclusive Baobab Beach Resort.<\/p>

Day 11: David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust<\/h5>

A visit to the renowned elephant rescue and rehabilitation program gave students a firsthand look at conservation efforts in Kenya.<\/p>

Day 12: Kazuri Beads Factory & Maasai Market<\/h5>

The trip concluded with visits to the Kazuri Beads Factory, Maasai Market, and Utamaduni Crafts Centre, where students shopped for souvenirs and jewelry to take home.<\/p>
