Through membership in the club, students build relationships with their peers, the faculty, and the community. The chemistry club meets regularly during the school year.<\/p>\n<p>While not considered to be a service organization, Lambda Alpha Beta has played a large role in the community; both on and off-campus. The club works closely with the chemistry faculty to provide support for departmental activities such as demonstration shows, the annual Southwest Arkansas Regional Science Fair, and all departmental or college open house or recruiting activities.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past few years, Lambda Alpha Beta has sponsored free tutoring to students in chemistry courses such as college chemistry, university chemistry, and organic chemistry.
