{"id":609,"date":"2010-11-23T15:49:19","date_gmt":"2010-11-23T21:49:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/web.saumag.edu\/online\/"},"modified":"2020-03-28T16:03:14","modified_gmt":"2020-03-28T21:03:14","slug":"online-education-committee","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/web.saumag.edu\/online\/faculty-resources__trashed\/online-education-committee\/","title":{"rendered":"Online Education Committee"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>Committee Description<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The role of the Online Education Education Committee\u00a0is to address online education challenges and opportunities at SAU.\u00a0 Specifically,<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Recommend institutional guidelines to ensure quality in online courses<\/li>\n<li>Organize ongoing support and assistance for online faculty and students<\/li>\n<li>Explore emerging technologies to support teaching and learning.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><strong>Membership<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Membership is appointed annually by the President of the University.\u00a0 Committee membership is filled to meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n<h3>Voting Members<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Committee Chair, appointed by the President from the committee membership;<\/li>\n<li>Faculty Teaching Online, eight (8), two (2) from each college;<\/li>\n<li>Academic Dean, one (1) appointed by the Vice President for Academic Affairs,<\/li>\n<li>Director of Institutional Effectiveness<\/li>\n<li>Students, two (2)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Non-Voting, Ex Officio Members<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Vice President for Academic Affairs<\/li>\n<li>Director of Online Learning<\/li>\n<li>Director of Magale Library<\/li>\n<li>Blackboard System Administrator<\/li>\n<li>Faculty Senator (if one is not elected to the committee)<\/li>\n<li>Staff Senator<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><div class=\"su-spoiler su-spoiler-style-modern-light su-spoiler-icon-plus su-spoiler-closed\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\" data-anchor-in-url=\"no\"><div class=\"su-spoiler-title\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><span class=\"su-spoiler-icon\"><\/span>2019-2020 Online Education Committee Members<\/div><div class=\"su-spoiler-content su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\"><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Committee Chair: Kim Bloss, Dead of College of Education, Dean of Graduate Studies (Academic Dean)<\/li>\n<li>Limount Zhao, College of Business Faculty (COB #1)<\/li>\n<li>Alan Wright, College of Business Faculty (COB #2)<\/li>\n<li>Lisa Oden, College of Education (COE #1)<\/li>\n<li>Jessica Samples, College of Education (COE #2)<\/li>\n<li>Amber Overholser, College of Liberal and Performing Arts (LPA #1)<\/li>\n<li>Andy Peeks, College of Liberal and Performing Arts (LPA #2)<\/li>\n<li>Rami Alroobi, College of Science and Engineering (CSE #1)<\/li>\n<li>Christa L.
