Southern Arkansas University\u2019s Biology and Chemistry Departments are pleased to announce that a number of graduating seniors have accepted offers to enter professional programs in fall 2020.<\/p>\n

The SAU\u00a0Department of Biology congratulates the following Pre-Health Majors who will enter\u00a0medical, dental and veterinary programs:<\/p>\n

Keely Stofer (2020) of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, will attend the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry, where she has been offered the Deans Award of $114,000.<\/p>\n

Haley Mullin (2020) of Smackover, Arkansas, will attend the University of Tennessee School of Dentistry in Memphis.<\/p>\n

Alexandria Hunter (2020) of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, has accepted an offer from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine.<\/p>\n

Ethan Smith (2020) of Conway, Arkansas, will attend the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences to pursue his MD.<\/p>\n

Kyle Plunk (2019), of Fouke, Arkansas, has accepted an offer to attend St. George\u2019s University School of Medicine in Grenada.<\/p>\n

Sarah Glover (2020), of Star City, Arkansas, has been admitted to the Medical Laboratory Sciences Program at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.<\/p>\n

Also, Grayson Coon (2020) of Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas, has been accepted to the William H. Bowen Law School at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are so proud of these SAU students for all their accomplishments and look forward to seeing them become leaders in their professions,\u201d said Dr. Abe Tucker, associate professor and chair of biology.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese are tough times in the medical field, but I know these students are ready for the challenge.\u201d<\/p>\n

The SAU Department of Biochemistry and Chemistry congratulates Micheala Roden on receiving an offer to Pharmacy School at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas.\u00a0She is a graduate of Magnolia High School and member of the Jackson Street Church of Christ. She will begin her pharmacy program in August 2020.<\/p>\n

The Department also congratulates five other students offered admission to UAMS Pharmacy School: Whitney Austin, a senior biochemistry major from Cabot, Arkansas; Joshua Russette, a junior biochemistry major from Fouke, Arkansas; Victoria Hardin, a senior biochemistry major from Wake Village, Texas; Zack Hazeslip, a junior biochemistry major from Cabot, Arkansas, and Rebecca Webb, a sophomore biochemistry major from Foreman, Arkansas. They will begin in August 2020.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese students continue a long tradition of successful pharmacists who completed their undergraduate training at Southern Arkansas University,\u201d said Dr. Scott White, associate professor of chemistry. \u201cWe congratulate them on their success.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
