She is a 2017 Agriculture Business graduate and recently received her MBA in Supply Chain Management, both from Southern Arkansas University.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_7631\" style=\"width: 227px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/web.saumag.edu\/news\/files\/2019\/09\/Caleigh-Moyer.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-7631\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-7631\" src=\"https:\/\/web.saumag.edu\/news\/files\/2019\/09\/Caleigh-Moyer-217x300.jpg\" alt=\"Caleigh Moyer\" width=\"217\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-7631\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Caleigh Moyer has been promoted to director of the Communications and Marketing Department at SAU.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Agriculture is something that played a significant role in her life because of her upbringing on her family\u2019s beef cattle and poultry operation and her involvement in 4-H and FFA. Ultimately, it is what led her to SAU. \u201cI credit my parents and our family farm for teaching me the importance of having a strong work ethic and being passionate about what I believe in. It taught me invaluable skills and I will always be thankful,\u201d said Moyer.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>As a student at SAU, Moyer enjoyed being involved in the Agriculture Club, Young Farmers and Ranchers, Collegiate FFA, and serving as a President\u2019s Ambassador. \u201cBeing a President\u2019s Ambassador is where I found my passion for being an influence on students\u2019 deciding to attend SAU,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>After graduation, Moyer started pursuing her career as an Admissions Counselor where she traveled the Ark-La-Tex recruiting students and sharing her love for SAU. \u201cThis was an easy job for me because I love SAU, I loved my experience as a student, and all I had to do was tell my story,\u201d said Moyer.<\/p>\n<p>More recently, Moyer transitioned to Assistant Director of Communications and Marketing in January 2019 and has been serving as the Interim Director. In this role, \u201cCaleigh has shown exceptional leadership, attention to detail, great teamwork, and the hard work ethic we need,\u201d said Dr. Donna Allen, Vice President for Student Affairs. \u201cWe are excited she is willing to lead the department.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy career at SAU has come full circle, from a student to a President\u2019s Ambassador, and from an Admissions Counselor to now holding a leadership role in the Communications and Marketing Department.
