The Arkansas Theta chapter of the Alpha Chi National Honor Scholarship Society at Southern Arkansas University, Magnolia, will induct 60 new members at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8, in the Grand Hall of the Donald W. Reynolds Campus and Community Center.<\/p>\n
The University\u2019s chapter sponsor for Alpha Chi is Dr. Scott White, assistant professor of chemistry.<\/p>\n
The purpose of Alpha Chi has been to promote academic excellence and exemplary character among college and university students and to honor those who achieve such distinction.<\/p>\n
Membership in the Theta chapter of Alpha Chi is by invitation only through a nomination process completed by members of the SAU faculty. Membership is limited to the top 10 percent of juniors and seniors at the University.<\/p>\n
