Southern Arkansas University will host the Annual Southwest Arkansas Regional Science Fair on Friday, March 8, 2019.<\/p>\n
Dr. Scott White, science fair director and director of the STEM Center for K-12 Education, said more than 250 students from grades 3-12 will be on hand at SAU presenting more than 325 science projects. These students were the top three winners in their grades and category at their respective schools.<\/p>\n
Elementary awards will be announced at 1 p.m. in the Reynolds Center Grand Hall. Awards for grades 7-12 will be announced at 1 p.m. in Reynolds Center Foundation Hall.<\/p>\n
Judging will take place from 9:30-11:30 a.m. The public will be allowed to view the projects from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in the W.T. Watson Gymnasium, after the judging is complete.<\/p>\n
A total of 20 schools will represent the following school districts:\u00a0 Bearden, Bradley, Columbia Christian, Emerson, Harmony Grove, Junction City, Lafayette County, Magnolia, Mineral Springs, Taylor, Texarkana, and Westside Christian.<\/p>\n
