One idea he has for a blog will be to write about ways for students to prepare for early-morning classes. \u201cThose can be tough, for sure,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Clinton, a sophomore from Quitman, Arkansas, said he has always been interested in sports writing and will focus on that aspect of life at SAU.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy first blog is going to be about Mulerider sports,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019ll be looking at what we can expect of our spring sports programs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He is currently senior content creator for Rookie Road, an online sports-writing tutorial. Clinton also has experience making short films and documentaries.<\/p>\n<p>Clinton, a Mass Communications major, said he chose SAU because of its Communications program. \u201cI wanted to do journalism of some kind, and was told by another college that SAU has a great program. I did my research and found that was absolutely correct.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>My readers will get an idea of what life is like when you come to college.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>O\u2019Neal, a sophomore from Shongaloo, Louisiana, will blog about sports and student life, focusing on the different majors available at SAU. \u201cMy readers will get an idea of what life is like when you come to college,\u201d she said. \u201cThe goal is to get students involved.\u201d She plans to incorporate photography and videos into her blog site. Her first blog is called \u2018Welcome Back, Muleriders.\u2019 O\u2019Neal is majoring in Mass Media.<\/p>\n<p>Pettis, a graduate assistant for SAU Communications and Marketing, earned her BA in Mass Communications in 2018. She will blog about campus life and student activities. Her undergraduate classes at SAU gave her the tools necessary to start a blog and develop her own style.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m glad to be part of something that is social, that will engage students on campus and in the community,\u201d said Pettis.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>There are so many little things we do that people just don\u2019t know<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Her first blog entry is about her experience as a student sponsor on a recent ski trip to Colorado.<\/p>\n<p>She also wants to write about various community service projects and opportunities. \u201cThere are so many little things we do that people just don\u2019t know,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Pettis, of Little Rock, Arkansas, said attending SAU represents a dream come true. \u201cI toured SAU when I was in the eighth grade,\u201d she said. \u201cIt was always my first choice. My parents love it, too. I have learned how to have fun and balance life and school.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Thomas, a sophomore from Conway, looks forward to putting her own \u201cpersonal touch\u201d on informative blogs on a variety of topics.
