The ceremony is to honor all of those who have battled cancer.<\/p>\n \u201cThis Light for the Fight ceremony began when our students wanted to do something to honor the Tammie Green, the wife of our professor Ken Green,\u201d said Dr. Lisa Toms, dean of the Rankin College of Business. \u201cCancer is a tragic disease that is so prevalent in our society; it has touched all of us in some way, either through a personal battle or through family and friends. This ceremony is a way to honor all of those who have battled cancer, as well as for the survivors of those who have been lost to cancer.\u201d<\/p>\n Luminaries are available for purchase in honor and in memory of friends and family members.
