\"Holly<\/a>Like most freshmen during their first semester, Holly Ball was unsure what career path she wanted to take.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had a hard time deciding on my major,\u201d said the 2003 graduate of Emerson High School. \u201cI took an introduction to criminal justice class and thought it was fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

Holly had found her niche. She is now a sophomore criminal justice major.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought a career in criminal justice would be a challenge to me, and I would have an opportunity to serve my country by working for the government,\u201d Holly said.<\/p>\n

She seems very happy with her choice. Her ultimate goal is to work for the FBI one day.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe criminal justice professors have a lot of experience to share with their students,\u201d she said. \u201cThey keep you interested, and they help you in any way they can.\u201d<\/p>\n

During Holly\u2019s senior year of high school, she didn\u2019t know what college or university she wanted to attend.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t know if I wanted to attend SAU, but my sister always encouraged me to attend,\u201d explained Holly. \u201cShe really liked the University and the atmosphere.\u201d<\/p>\n

Holly\u2019s sister, Erin, is a recent graduate of SAU.<\/p>\n

Another factor in Holly choosing SAU was the start of the Honors College program.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe program was just getting started, and I thought it would be a good opportunity to take Honors classes and live in the Honors College residence hall,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Holly\u2019s younger brother, who is a freshman at Emerson High School, will also be a student at SAU. Unlike Holly, he already has a plan for his future.<\/p>\n

While it took Holly a bit of time to find her niche, now that she has, she couldn\u2019t be happier.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is something here for everyone,\u201d she said. \u201cStudents learn things at SAU that will help them later in life.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
