Hear, ye! Hear, ye! Lords and ladies, one and all are invited to join the Heritage and Chamber Singers of Southern Arkansas University for a Madrigal Feast at 6:30 p.m. Friday, November 14, 2014, in the Grand Hall of the Reynolds Center.<\/p>\n
Reservations must be made by noon on Tuesday, November 11. Tickets and\/or reservations are available from David DeSeguirant at (870) 235-4246 or ddeseguirant@saumag.edu<\/a>. Individual tickets are $25; couples may purchase a single ticket for two at $40. Children are welcome.<\/p>\n All of the proceeds from the evening will go toward ensemble-related travel.<\/p>\n Guests will be treated to a Royal Court, minstrels, troubadours, and a mythical beast may also make an appearance. The menu is splendid, and will include wassail, salad, French onion soup, roasted beef and \u201cgrilleth poultree,\u201d potatoes, beans with almonds, bread, and a royal dessert.<\/p>\n A Renaissance\/Monty Python\/Kitchen Sink Masque, titled \u201cFools Fall in Love,\u201d will be included as part of the evening\u2019s entertainment. The merry servers will be members of the Heritage and Chamber Singers.<\/p>\n Guests should feel at liberty to attire thyselves in a festive Renaissance manner; or, if thou wouldest dress in 21st century attire, that is perfectly acceptable.<\/p>\n In conjunction with the Madrigal Feast will be a SAU Choir Reunion on Saturday, November 15. The reunion will feature the years of 1967-71, but any SAU choir alumni are welcome. Plans include lunch at a local restaurant, followed by singing at a designated venue. Choir alumni are also encouraged to attend the Madrigal Feast.
