Luminaries line the sidewalk in front of the SAU Business building during the 2013 “Light for the Fight” event.<\/p><\/div>\n

The Southern Arkansas University College of Business is helping shine light on breast cancer awareness with \u201cLight for the Fight\u201d at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, October 6, 2014.<\/p>\n

The ceremony will take place at the Business Building fountain, and is free and open to the public. The ceremony is to help kick-off Breast Cancer Awareness Month.<\/p>\n

Pink luminaries for the ceremony can be purchased for $5, and can be in \u201cmemory of\u201d or in \u201chonor of\u201d a loved one. All proceeds from pink luminaries will be donated to breast cancer research.<\/p>\n

Purple luminaries are also on sale for $5, for those who have battled other types of cancer. All proceeds from the purple luminaries will benefit the \u201cFinish Strong\u201d scholarship endowment at SAU that was established in memory of Whitley Reeves Barnard.<\/p>\n
