MAGNOLIA \u2013 The College of Liberal and Performing Arts and the Department of Music at Southern Arkansas University will feature the Heritage Singers and Chamber Singers in their spring concert on at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, at First Baptist Church, 318 Main Street, Magnolia. Admission to the concert is free.<\/p>\n
The selections for the evening\u2019s performance are all by composers whose last names share the same initial letter: B. Composers include William Byrd, Johann Sebastian Bach, Johannes Brahms, Samuel Barber, and contemporary composers Javier Busto and Ross C. Bernhardt.<\/p>\n
Finally, the choirs will combine with organ, harp, and percussion with a performance of Leonard Bernstein\u2019s \u201cChichester Psalms,\u201d commissioned for the 1965 Chichester Music Festival held in Sussex, England.<\/p>\n
