MAGNOLIA \u2013 The Department of Art and Design at Southern Arkansas University will sponsor an exhibition of work by Mark Mothersbaughs in the Brinson Fine Arts Gallery from April 1-13. Mothersbaughs was the front man for the 1980s rock group \u201cDevo.\u201d<\/p>\n
The show is titled \u201cWe must repeat\u201d and will begin with a reception and Skype-cast at 7 p.m. on April 1 in Foundation Hall of the Donald W. Reynolds Campus and Community Center.<\/p>\n
Mothersbaughs\u2019 accomplishments include the musical score for a number of Wes Anderson films. His music has also been a staple for the children\u2019s television shows Rugrats, Beakman\u2019s World, <\/em>and Clifford the Big Red Dog<\/em>. He wrote the theme song for the new Felix the Cat<\/em> show for Film Roman, music for Pee-Wee\u2019s Playhouse<\/em> in 1990, and the theme song for The New Super Mario World<\/em> for DiC Entertainment in 1991.<\/p>\n Mothersbaugh is also known for his music in video games including Sony\u2019s Crash Bandicoot<\/em> series, the Jak and Daxter<\/em> series, and EA Games\u2019 The Sims 2<\/em>.
