Three very talented students from the Department of Theatre and Mass Communication at Southern Arkansas University, Magnolia, will perform the entire works of William Shakespeare in less than two hours in the play \u201cThe Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged).\u201d<\/p>\n
Performance dates are Tuesday through Thursday, April 25-27. All performances begin at 7:30 p.m. in Harton Theater. Admission is $2 for students, faculty, and staff, and $4 for general admission.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe play delivers what it promises,\u201d said Josh Foldy, guest director from New York City. \u201cThe cast does a lot of different things and play a lot of different characters.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)\u201d is an irreverent, fast-paced romp through the Bard\u2019s plays. It is the longest-running comedy, now in its eighth year at the Criterion Theatre.<\/p>\n
Foldy classifies the production as a comedy.<\/p>\n
\u201cAudience members will have fun at the performance,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Cast members include Cassandra Owens, a senior theatre major from McNeil; Billy Penick, a junior marketing major from Magnolia; and Steven Farmer, a senior theatre major from Warren.<\/p>\n
