Southern Arkansas University has planned several events to help make this event a success.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, Feb. 15, SAU held campus tours and a financial aid workshop. Incentives were provided to encourage alumni of the University to participate. \u201cWe sent letters to area high schools saying that we would provide t-shirts to SAU alumni who are teachers or administrators,\u201d said Bronwyn Sneed, director of financial aid. \u201cWe had many requests from teachers and administrators for the t-shirts, so they are excited about wearing shirts from their alma mater.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>To round out the week, SAU will host \u201cCollege Goal Sunday\u201d from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 21, in the Donald W. Reynolds Campus and Community Center. This is a one-day, statewide event created to help students learn more about higher education and to apply for financial aid. The event is designed to assist students no matter which Arkansas college or university they plan to attend.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe culmination of the week results in parents actually bringing in their tax returns to get their\u00a0Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) completed,\u201d Sneed said.<\/p>\n<p>Say Go College Week is sponsored by the Arkansas Department of Higher Education.
