\"\"Southern Arkansas University students and faculty recently participated in an immersive, multi-day industry engagement experience through the LiTHIUMLEARNS\u00a0program.
\nSponsored and hosted by ExxonMobil, the group toured the EMHC and Baytown refinery facilities.<\/p>\n

During the EMHC visit, participants learned about ExxonMobil\u2019s history, toured research facilities, and saw first-hand the emphasis the corporation puts on valuing its people and its commitment to sustainable business practices. ExxonMobil executives shared their individual career paths and personalized the visit for the students. Executives also discussed topics such as public and government affairs, procurement, safety and environmental stewardship, finance, internships, corporate social responsibility, and ExxonMobil\u2019s Low Carbon Solutions engagement in the nascent lithium industry focused on the Smackover Formation, which is of significant interest to students in Southwest Arkansas.<\/p>\n

The experience concluded with a visit to ExxonMobil\u2019s Baytown facilities, where participants observed refinery infrastructure and learned more about ExxonMobil\u2019s advanced recycling initiatives. Students enjoyed working discussions with Baytown professionals, gaining insight into large-scale industrial operations and workforce expectations.<\/p>\n
