{"id":10438,"date":"2024-08-13T10:28:12","date_gmt":"2024-08-13T15:28:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/web.saumag.edu\/news\/?p=10438"},"modified":"2024-08-15T08:40:28","modified_gmt":"2024-08-15T13:40:28","slug":"sau-blue-and-gold-day-welcomes-students-and-the-community-to-alumni-center-on-august-20","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/web.saumag.edu\/news\/2024\/sau-blue-and-gold-day-welcomes-students-and-the-community-to-alumni-center-on-august-20\/","title":{"rendered":"SAU Blue and Gold Day welcomes students and the community to Alumni Center on August 20"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In partnership with the City of Magnolia and Columbia County, Southern Arkansas University announced the seventh annual Blue and Gold Day on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the SAU Alumni Center.<\/p>\n<p>On this day, the Magnolia community is encouraged to wear blue and gold to support SAU and to come out and enjoy a great evening of fellowship between Magnolia citizens and SAU students.<\/p>\n<p>This year&#8217;s event will continue the exciting collaboration between SAU and Magnolia High School with a pep rally at 6:00 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The tradition of Blue and Gold Day, now in its seventh year, is a celebration of SAU and Magnolia&#8217;s partnership as an Educational Home for all of the community,&#8221; remarked SAU President Dr. Bruno Hicks. &#8220;Blue and Gold Day is a chance for our new students to meet high school students and community members and for all of our students to experience the bond that makes SAU and Magnolia such a great place to learn.\u00a0We hope everyone will wear their blue and gold, come out for a great time, and enjoy SAU&#8217;s beautiful campus.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The free event will feature fun activities for the whole family, including photo booths and bounce houses.
