Southern Arkansas University, a NCAA Division II member institution and member of the Great American Conference (GAC), is seeking applicants for the position of Men\u2019s Assistant Basketball Coach.<\/p>\n
Duties: assist the head coach in all phases of a highly competitive program including, but not limited to: recruiting and retention of student athletes; practice and game preparation; academic monitoring and mentoring; team travel preparations; public relations and fundraising; administration of summer camps; commitment to full compliance of the University, NCAA and GAC regulations; fulfill duties as Life Skills Coordinator; coordinate community service engagements for Mulerider Athletics within the Magnolia community, and other duties as assigned.<\/p>\n
Qualifications: Bachelor\u2019s degree required, master\u2019s preferred; demonstrate evidence of successful experience in coaching; record of success in collegiate and\/or interscholastic basketball coaching; effective communication, excellent written and oral communication skills with a strong attention to detail; interpersonal skills and commitment to total success of students.\u00a0 All SAU faculty and staff demonstrate a commitment to the value of all members of the SAU community, to excellence in interpersonal behaviors, and effective collaboration with colleagues.
