Duties: Provide high-level administrative support to the Student Affairs leadership team; supervise, train, and evaluate student workers; coordinate student staff schedules and task delegation; serve as the first point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and visitors; respond to inquiries and concerns with professionalism and discretion; manage departmental calendars, including scheduling appointments, events, and meetings; assist with logistics and coordination of campus-wide student affairs initiatives; draft, edit, and distribute internal and external communications, including memos, emails, reports, newsletters, and award notifications; maintain organized filing systems (electronic and physical) and ensure records are current and FERPA-compliant; support budget tracking and bookkeeping functions; monitor departmental accounts, process invoices, and reconcile expenditures; lead the collection, review, and preliminary analysis of data for retention reports and student engagement metrics; oversee student assistants involved in data entry and reporting; prepare materials such as faculty\/staff FERPA brochures and forms; coordinate scholarship communication by sending award letters and maintaining recipient records across multiple student populations (departmental, non-traditional, etc.); contribute to the planning and implementation of student success programs, workshops, and recognition events; collaborate across departments to support special projects, student services, and compliance efforts; perform other duties as assigned in support of the mission and goals of the Division of Student Affairs.<\/p>\n

Qualifications: Bachelor\u2019s degree preferred; a degree in education, student affairs, communications, or a related field preferred; experience in higher education or student services strongly preferred; strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment; excellent oral and written communication skills, including professional document preparation and editing; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); knowledge of general office procedures, with a demonstrated ability to manage confidential information responsibly and in accordance with FERPA guidelines; ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including students, faculty, and administrators.
