Professional Staff Excellence Awards<\/h4>\n

The Southern Arkansas University Professional Staff Excellence Awards are intended to recognize the non-teaching professional staff members who have achieved an outstanding level of professionalism in the performance of their assignment. Each nominee must be a full-time professional staff member who is at least in the second year of full-time employment at SAU-Magnolia (employed before January 1, 2023). If you wish to nominate a professional staff member for the award, please submit a signed letter or a nomination form in which you emphasize how the person you are nominating has demonstrated the following traits as well as other traits you may wish to describe:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • constantly examines administrative effectiveness and seeks better procedures;<\/li>\n
  • effectively uses all channels of open communications to achieve mutual understanding;<\/li>\n
  • originates and develops conceptual ideas with constructive and practical applications;<\/li>\n
  • encourages and supports inventive and resourceful decision-making at the level closest to the problem;<\/li>\n
  • encourages individual growth and development of staff;<\/li>\n
  • effectively formulates strategies, tactics, and action plans to achieve results;<\/li>\n
  • promotes harmony and teamwork, and displays a high degree of honesty, loyalty, and integrity;<\/li>\n
  • effectively applies sound management principles and contemporary management concepts;<\/li>\n
  • is recognized as an effective staff member by students and colleagues.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The names of the professional staff members eligible for this award appear at the bottom of this announcement. Each award carries with it a prize of $500. Previous award winners are not eligible for consideration for five years. All nominations must be received by Tuesday, March 26, 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n
