Duties: serve as office receptionist; answer telephone and emails; greet and assist visitors; organize reports; assist Director of Transitional Studies and Academic Affairs; assist with completion of semester schedule of courses; attend Academic Affairs meetings; assist and provide information to students; prepare correspondence and organize meetings/seminars for director and faculty; maintain departmental records and student files; supervise student workers; collect data for reports in excel and provide general administrative support for the department and other duties as assigned. Hours will be divided evenly between the Division of Transitional Studies and the Office of Academic Affairs.
Qualifications: high school diploma or equivalent, with one year of specialized training in typing, computers, and business practices; college degree with 3-5 years secretarial experience preferred; proficient use of Microsoft Office and Excel; excellent communication and grammar skills; professional appearance; and ability to maintain confidentiality and interact professionally with staff and public.
