This a graduate coach role with the Mulerider Esports teams starting June 1, 2022. You will work as a graduate assistant coach while earning your graduate degree. This position gives you the opportunity to develop skills in coaching, training, organization, strategic planning, scheduling, and leadership while gaining the hands-on experience of coaching and working with student esports athletes on the collegiate level. This is a great opportunity for individuals that love esports, to earn a graduate degree and gain leadership experience that will help further their career. Graduate Assistant will receive a $4,000 stipend every semester. Checks will be given out monthly over the course of the semester equaling the total $4,000 stipend. Also, there are opportunities to work additional positions on campus that can grant benefits like free housing, meals plans, and experience working in different fields. There are also multiple graduate school scholarship opportunities.
Duties: hold the responsibilities of an esports coach including training, disciplining, and motivating players; responsible for taking esports players and teams in tournament events throughout the season; assist in player recruitment; maintain player and team records and other duties as assigned.
Requirements: must have a bachelor’s degree; enroll in graduate school full-time at Southern Arkansas University (full-time is minimum of 6 hours); maintain minimum GPA of 3.0 on all graduate course work; have experience and true interest in the field of esports; must be responsible, dependable, and goal oriented.
