Duties: Responsible for managing, facilitating and teaching activities for the Simulation Center; activities involve both internal learners (medical residents, student nurses and allied health professionals) as well as external learners (visiting physicians and other health care providers, industry partners and community groups) who participate in simulated exercises; responsible for operation and maintaining sophisticated high, mid, and low fidelity simulation equipment, audio-visual equipment, photo production equipment and computer equipment; in collaboration with nursing clinical faculty, the faculty simulation coordinator, along with technology simulation coordinator, will design, develop, introduce, schedule, set-up and implement, simulated learning scenarios and educational materials for all nursing courses in collaboration with nursing clinical faculty and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in nursing or other health care related field required; Master’s of advanced degree preferred; experience in learning based healthcare simulation technology preferred; one (1) year full-time clinical experience in medical-surgical environment; proficient in the use of audio/visual equipment(i.e., video cameras [GoPro, KB Port, REPLAY], monitors, microphones), including recording, duplication, and editing; proficient in Microsoft Office suite and MAC applications; Basis Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS HCP) certification from American Health Association (AHA).
