Duties: Provide a wide range of clinical services at counseling center including individual and group counseling, consultation and crisis response; provide outreach programming, training with student groups, and campus committee participation; participate in orientation sessions, classroom presentations, and assessment interpretations; coordinate and communicate with off-campus mental health providers and on-campus constituents; respond to inquiries from parents, staff, faculty, and external constituents regarding counseling center resources and services; work effectively with and be a strong advocate for students representing diverse and intersecting identities and backgrounds; ability to work with diverse populations; knowledge and skill in understanding issues of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, class, and spiritual background and their intersectionality; maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients’ treatment; perform weekend and on-call responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Master’s in counseling, social work or related mental health field; LPC or LAC credentials; three (3) to five (5) years of experience in mental health or college or university related experiences; strong written and oral communication skills; enjoy working with college students.
