Duties: Direct the implementation of the Student Support Services (SSS) program by providing leadership to the program staff; ensure that the objective of the program is carried out to the maximum benefit of the enrolled students; oversee the funding and expenditures with the timely submission of the required proposals; counsel/advise SSS students; recruit, hire, train and evaluate SSS staff; Supervise SSS staff; prepare and submit annual performance report; analyze, develop and improve program; monitor expenditures of project funds; participate in staff meetings and assignments; coordinate in-service training for personnel; coordinate and develop public relations for SSS; maintain official SSS database/program records and perform other duties as assigned. The position is full-time, subject to availability of grant funds. The program must comply with Federal guidelines and the submission of mandated performance reports to the U. S. Department of Education.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in education in an academic or counseling related field required; three years’ experience in administration at the college or university level; interest in or knowledge of the educational, personal, and social problems of disabled or educationally, culturally, or financially disadvantaged students; ability and willingness to provide quality customer service; working knowledge and use of technology required; proven written and oral communication skills required; assurance of ability to comprehend and complete substantial and rigorous grant guidelines and objectives.
