Duties: oversee the planning, establishment, execution, and evaluation of ongoing and sustainable social media communications; stay informed of current trends and best practices in social media management and pursues creative application of these practices at SAU; produce relevant content for various social media sites for targeted audiences; ensures all online venues are updated consistently to maintain a positive online presence; monitor and educate SAU community on proper use of social media and online communication; assist with the creation and reporting of social media advertising campaigns, graphic design, photography, yearbook; write, edit, and manage all social related content from official SAU outlets; provide education and direction to departments, faculty, staff and students in developing strategic social media plans; work closely with departments to ensure proper content and messaging executed online is relevant to University goals; monitor any and all mention of the University found online; track alerts and monitor social media sites around the clock via mobile devices; manage online discussions in a timely manner and craft responses to users, other social media sites, and online news outlets; advise on running effective social media campaigns for departments to establish consistency of communications across multiple networks; oversee and/or coordinate the collection, compilation, and analysis of online activity data; develop, write, and present comprehensive statistical and narrative reports; collect content: photos, video, text, from campus events and activities and posts online in a timely manner; require night and weekend work and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication design, graphic design, or related field required; experience in creative digital marketing and design, Adobe CS, and social media management preferred; possess a strong design aesthetic and excellent communication skills; must be a self-starter and organized.
