Duties: service products and equipment on assigned projects, ensuring satisfaction by identifying, analyzing, diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems; coordinate with his supervisors to precisely understand requirements for all on-site installation and repairs; use equipment along with a variety of hand-tools to diagnose and repair units; enforce safety to the highest standards and maintain security and accountability of university issued and procured assets by recording use, wear and conditions; maintain flexibility to work overtime and weeks as university requires; continually improve the efficiency of all equipment by maintaining a PM program; perform scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance, inspections, and service requests including replacement, and modifications of equipment or systems as needed or requested by the University; act as lead man if supervisor is out and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: high school diploma or equivalent; EPA Certification required; refrigeration knowledge preferred; 3 years HVAC service, and 1 year HVAC commercial service preferred; valid driver’s license with no major traffic violations, suspension, or DUI’s; able to work in diverse conditions; ability to regularly lift 50 lbs. or more.
