Duties: assist directing University Police Departments at SAU Magnolia and SAU Tech Camden; work to enhance synergies between the two campuses: Supervise 3 full time SAU Tech Officers and 5 full time SAU Patrol Officers and prepare yearly evaluations for each; ensure personnel adhere to highest standards of integrity and professional conduct; conduct public awareness and crime prevention training for students, faculty and staff; supervise and conduct Emergency Preparedness Drills and Incident Command training; ensure CLEST certifications and minimum standards responsibilities are adhered to by subordinates; work Scheduling and approval of reports: lead and develop training programs for agency and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: earned Bachelor’s Degree required, earned Master’s Degree preferred; minimum seven (7) years Law Enforcement experience; Criminal Justice Institute Supervisor Training and experience a plus; have excellent oral and written communication skills; expected to excel in interpersonal behaviors and be committed to the improvement, modernization and professional development of the SAU Systems Police Department and its employees.
