Duties: Provide excellent customer service both over the phone and in person; review information; explain bills, charges, etc. to students, parents, faculty, or staff within guidelines of FERPA; explain University policies; resolve problems or refer to higher authority for resolution; process payments from students, parents, faculty, or staff by receiving cash, check, or credit card payments; assume custody and full responsibility for operating cash and receipts; perform standard accountability functions at the end of the day; complete required cashier reports and/or forms; maintain high level of accuracy, professional demeanor, confidentiality and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent and one year of cash handling, bookkeeping, billing, or related experience required; ability to operate 10-key calculator and functioning knowledge of keyboarding; knowledge of Microsoft Suite and other business-related software programs; excellent communication and interpersonal skills All SAU faculty and staff demonstrate a commitment to inclusion and diversity of the University community and excellence in interpersonal behaviors and effective collaboration with colleagues.
