Duties: Direct and coordinate the activities of the Online Learning Department; plan and manage departmental budget; serve as liaison between Quality Matters and the university; carry out day-to-day responsibilities for championing and implementing the QM system within the university; collaborate with faculty on course design, development, and instructional strategies; assist the university in remaining compliant with Distance Education regulations and policies; coordinate and develop faculty training sessions/web resources based on individual or group needs; collaborate with the primary Blackboard Administrator regarding instructional delivery system, course development software, support services for faculty and students and provide recommendations as appropriate and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited college/university with a major in instructional technology or related field required; doctorate degree preferred; experience in online instructional design as a faculty member within a higher educational setting; three (3) to five (5) years of experience in instructional design and/or curriculum development; Quality Matters credentialed, with APPQMR (Applying the QM Rubric) and PRC (Peer Reviewer) certifications; strong written and verbal communication skills; experience in developing and delivering faculty training; experience in office management, business planning and budget planning; Blackboard Administrator experience.
