Southern Arkansas University is accepting applications for a 9-month, full-time faculty position as an Instructor of Health, Kinesiology and Recreation. Effective August 2019.
Duties: teach 15 hours of undergraduate courses per semester with the possibility of summer teaching; courses may include Human Anatomy and Physiology, Kinesiology, and Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology, Strength and Conditioning or other related courses; student advisement/mentoring; serve on committees; provide service to the university, college and community and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: earned Master’s in Exercise Science, Sports Medicine, Athletic Training, Human Performance, Physical Education or a related field; demonstrate excellence as a classroom teacher/learner; teaching in a learner-centered environment; experience teaching with technology and online; work with a team centered approach; be active professionally; experience with a professional body such as ACSM, NSCA, CAATE and/or coaching education.
