The Career Counselor/Testing Assistant is responsible for the operation and/or coordination of the university career services and testing programs.
Duties: Assist the director in helping students regarding college majors, career research, resume writing, and interview skills; assist in proctoring institutional, distance learning and national standardized exams; accurately prepare and process records, requisitions and reports; adhere to all established timelines; engage in professional development activities and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred in business, education, counseling, psychology, liberal arts or related field; two-three years of experience in teaching, training, counseling, or testing required; proficiency in using Outlook, Word, Excel, etc. and POISE; operate standard office equipment; communicate effectively and appropriately; maintain confidentiality of records and information; interact with diverse populations, the University community and the public; maintain budgetary accounting records; work in a multi-tasking environment.
