Southern Arkansas University is accepting applications for a 9-month Assistant or Associate Professor, tenure-track position in Exercise Science, effective August 1, 2018. Applications will be accepted until December 15, 2017 or until the position is filled.
Duties: depending on qualifications, teach courses in Instrumentation and Physiology Assessment, Exercise Prescription, Kinesiology and Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology, Nutrition and Human Performance and other exercise science related courses; supervise practicum; serve as the Program Assessment Coordinator for the Exercise Science degree program; direct the kinesiology lab; advise and mentor students; work on committees; provide service to the university and community and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: earned doctorate required in Exercise Science or a related field (ABD or Master’s considered for a term position); demonstrate excellence in teaching in a learner-centered environment; experience teaching with technology; work with a team-centered approach; experience with online teaching; active in research and service. Desired qualities include experience in data collection and distribution, experience with coaching education and accreditation experience with ACSM or other related professional body.
