Students will spend the week designing, decorating, and hopefully racing twin sized beds in front of an eager Family Day crowd.\u00a0 In a double elimination show down, each team, consisting of four runners and a rider, races down Crescent Drive until there is only bed is left standing.\u00a0 The overall winner is presented with the treasured Bed Race trophy. \u00a0Awards are also given for most creative, most original, and best craftsmanship.\u00a0 This time honored Family Day tradition was started 1981 and has taken place every year since.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Schedule of Events<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1pm &#8211; 32nd Annual Bed Race<\/li>\n<li>2pm &#8211; Family Day reception in Fincher Hall<\/li>\n<li>2:30pm &#8211; Annual Great Greek Canoe Race<\/li>\n<li>4pm &#8211; Mulegating at the Welcome Center<\/li>\n<li>6pm &#8211; SAU Football vs. Southwestern Oklahoma State University<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Saturday September 22 RHA is hosting its 32nd annual Bed Race.
