\n-The professional staff category is not equal to the support staff category; in the beginning they
\nwere equal.
\n-Would like to possibly come up with a plan to move awards back 50\/50 or leave it as is?
\n– Other alternative methods will be proposed and discussed at the next meeting.<\/p>\n
\n-At this time there are 116 active cases on campus, that includes staff and faculty. Seventy
\nquarantined and two quarantined on campus
\n– New quarantine and isolation protocol were sent out this morning (01-19-22); the Task Force
\nwill continue to meet weekly.<\/p>\n
\n– Deregistration day is tomorrow (01-20-22)
\n– Spring: (Undergrad) Enrollment is down a little, graduate is up and looking very
\npromising.<\/p>\n
\n– $275,000.00 Scholarship Endowment was donated to SAU before Christmas, funds will be
\nspread out around campus.
\n– The last two LED Lights were put up on the walking trail today.
\n– Alumni center should be complete around 02-14-22
\n-Landscaping updates were done at Wilkins Stadium
\n– Turf for the baseball field (fundraising is going on now to raise funds)
\n-Will finish up the indoor facility this year, 2022.
\n-Development: 6.3 million was raised and 4.5 million goal set for this year.
\n– Still have half of staff development funds available; encourage staff to take advantage of
\nwebinars, trainings, etc.
\n– Looking at ways to help new faculty and staff moving to town to find quality and affordable
\nplaces to live.
\n– Shifting more resources for admissions to Texas, for recruitment.<\/p>\n

\n-Kayla will send out an email to all staff in reference to the vacant positions
\n-United Way packets should arrive this week, Kayla will need assistance dividing them up.
\n-Margarita volunteered to gather five donations for United Way (Donations are due by midFebruary 2022)<\/p>\n
\nThe next staff senate meeting will be February 16, 2022 via zoom<\/p>\n
