Dr. Jon Oxford is an Assistant Professor of Psychology, he began at SAU in 2015. His academic career began with studies in biology and chemistry at the University of Missouri and ended with his doctorate in developmental psychology. Following graduate school, he was an Alexander von Humboldt post-doctoral fellow in the Human Motivational and Affective Neuroscience Laboratory at Friedrich Alexander University in Erlangen, Germany. His research focus is experimental in social neuroendocrinology (i.e., hormones and behavior), while is his theoretical work focuses on human life history and evolutionary biopsychology.
Dr. Oxford’s primary teaching focus is developmental, biological, and introductory psychology.
