Dr. Ismail has a Bachelor of Mechanical Design and Production Engineering, a Master of Applied Sconce in Industrial Engineering, an MBA in Finance and International Business, and a Ph.D. in Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering (IMSE). Dr. Ismail held many industrial positions as a Research and Development Engineer, Operations and Purchasing Engineer, and Operations Manager. He has research contributions in four main areas of research: 1) Systems Optimization, 2) Manufacturing Systems Analysis and Design 3) Outcome-based Assessment Systems and. Dr. Ismail is the creator and the developer of Progressive Modeling, A new systems modeling and optimization approach, FactDesign, a manufacturing systems analysis and optimization Windows-based platform; OBACIS, a Web/Windows/Excel outcome-based assessment and continuous improvement integrated platform for Engineering and Higher Education, and HEDAL, a healthcare engineering and big data analytics lab and software platform. Dr. Ismail is showcasing/publishing his research findings and its software artifacts at well-reputed national and international conferences and leading industrial engineering journals.
