Key responsibilities include setting up and breaking down event spaces according to floor plans, diagrams, and event specifications; arranging tables, chairs, staging, and equipment; loading, unloading, moving, and transporting event materials and supplies; and ensuring that event spaces meet safety, accessibility, and cleanliness standards. The crew coordinates with the Director and Assistant Director to ensure smooth event execution. Event Setup Crew performs last-minute adjustments before and during events as needed. Additionally, team members inspect equipment and report any damage or maintenance needs and assist with the storage and inventory of event supplies after events.<\/span><\/p>\n

This position supports campus event programming through planning, preparation, setup, promotion, and the posting and removal of flyers, as well as maintaining the community bulletin board to ensure information is current and presentable. The Graduate Assistant also oversees operations of the Mulerider Lounge by developing and managing student worker schedules, assisting with hiring, onboarding, and training employees, reviewing and approving timesheets, and supervising daily lounge activities to ensure assigned duties are completed. In addition, the position coordinates and hosts at least one lounge-sponsored event per semester to promote student engagement. The Graduate Assistant ensures that student workers effectively monitor recreational equipment, promote appropriate conduct, track materials, and maintain a clean, welcoming, and organized lounge environment.<\/span><\/p>\n
